Being vocal is not the answer ?

Being vocal is not the answer. I have seen many people who are really good in speaking out; through vocally. But sadly, in my opinion, mostly were used to only blame on others. Vocally used to only blame others without giving out any suggestions or even to lend a hand in helping to correct the situation, this is wrong. A cheap publicity is only used to gain popularity; obviously.

Actually, if everyone can see it clearly, all these are only liabilities which is use to destroy instead of building it. Tear things down and make things or situation worse. They do not know how to appreciate the little things that God has given to them. Clearly, they just brood, pointing fingers to others and kept blaming them. Moreover, with the enviousness that they have inside them. They cannot see anything good in their life. As if they were born to only spread hatred; hate remarks as what people would say. Published false statement towards other people which now I can see is happening everywhere, blaming the government or even to other individual. These got to stop! Stop your antics because YOU are only destroying
it!

Planting seeds of success in their mind (way of thinking). Develop the rich habits to succeed (way of doing things). Wealth is a way of thinking and doing things. We reap what we sow; this should be set in our mind before it is too late.

Unfortunately, we are not yet ready to take on the world. We are essentially still incompetent politically, economically and even socially. The way we conduct ourselves, we are already defeated even before we fight. The moment we open our mouth, every one knows that we do not know anything. We are noisy but lack of clear directions. Unless we acquire the correct mindset, character and competence, we will continue to only be followers rather than leaders, slaves rather than free men, to be dictated rather than to dictate. Instead of managing society, we are being managed. I dream of the day when we become the head instead of the tail.

We can form a group of Komulakan or youth thinking to study the basics of personal viability - correct thinking, character and competence. Entrepreneurship or empowerment = mobilization of time, talent & treasure (resources) x Character + Competence.

Bangunla wahai anak anak sabah !

Hargailah Bantuan Kerajaan

Winners of the "Program Kampung Sejahtera" (PKS) that was introduced in 2006 to replace the Program Desa Wawasan must continue efforts to lift themselves out of poverty.

State Rural Development Minister Datuk Ewon Ebin cited one village in Ranau that was given various socio-economic projects worth RM1 million to be a role model for other villages but all was in vain after a year.

"This village is in my area and was given many projects to improve their living standards. The funding was used to cultivate corn on a 10-acre land, 30 sewing machines were given to the women to produce clothing for their own and sell the rest, freshwater fish and 10 male and 90 female goats for breeding.

"For the first six months, the villagers implemented them accordingly.

But after a year, there were only five goats left while the rest were attacked by dogs or slaughtered for drinking sessions.

"Even the sewing machines in the balairaya became rusty.

There was no fish in the freshwater fish ponds and the land cultivated with corn was full of weeds," he said.

He reminded hardcore poor and poor households in Sabah that government assistance is given only once to each participant and it is vital they do not waste this opportunity to lift them out of poverty.

Penurunan Kos naik Gunung Kinabalu dipertikai ?

Harta Sabah Dijual lagi ?

Beberapa pihak mendakwa jumlah kerugian dalam bentuk perolehan berjumlah Minumum AS$100 bilion (RM330 bilion) .

For me Surrendering sovereignty for a commercial agreement is a fool's bargain ! These is high treason. No federal or state government has the right to surrender sovereign rights. Those responsible are traitors to our nation and must be punished.

Barisan Nasional Goverment please Wake up ! , or you will be voted out by people in the next General Election !

BN Tidak lagi Sesuai Dengan Asparasi Rakyat ?

. I still feel passionate about Malaysia, especially 4 Sabah to be properly governed. The people deserve such leadership. There r many good leaders in the present Govt but the present SYSYEM tie up their hands to b better leaders..

Datuk Kalakau Untol Tinggalkan Barisan Nasional

Bercakap mengenai kes liwat Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim sebelum sidang akhbar bermula, Kalakau berkata, "Semua orang tahu kes liwat Anwar telah dijadikan bahan mainan politik Barisan Nasional.

Is there any hope for Malaysia?

For those who started work around 1973, a 1.3 Litre Japanese car was RM7,000.
Today the equivalent is.... let's say RM60,000.......8.5 times

In 1973 a double storey house was about RM45,000..or less.
Today it is about RM300,000............6.6 times

In 1973 an Engineer's pay was RM1,000.
Today it is about RM2, 000+/-...........2 times....

From 1973 to 2008........35 years......what is the Trend?
Bearish!!!!

In a stock market when the trend is bearish, what do we do? ..Exit !!!
When a country's trend is bearish what do we do?

This Bearish trend is more difficult to turn around as compared to the stock market.

I have used these 3 items: House, Car & Salary as a measurement of the country's performance for the past 35 years....
Foreigners also ask about these 3 items to gauge our standard of living.

There is a book I saw entitled: "Malaysia : The Failed Nation".
Some of you may be interested to read it. I agreed with the writer.....

This morning I was having coffee at McDonald (now the coffee..100 % Arabica beans..is quite good @ RM 2.90....free refill !!
I asked how much per hour is their pay?
RM3.00 x 8 hours = RM24 per day x 25 days = RM600 per month

My daughter works part-time during her University days..she worked at Gloria Jeans Coffee.... The pay?
Australian $14.00 @ 3.15 = RM44 per hour x 8 = RM352 per day x 25 days = RM8,800 ...13.3 times more !!!!!
......Price of houses in Perth is about the same in KL.

Price of cars are about 23% cheaper in Perth.

I think more and more people are becoming aware of this Bearish trend.

Developed country by 2020...means High income country!!

Let's look at some as of year 2005 (Financial Times)
USA GNP per capita US$35, 400
UK GNP per capita US$25,510
Australia GNP per capita US$19 ,530
Singapore GNP per capita US$20,690

These are developed countries by income measurement....
Malaysia 's GNP per capita US$3,540

Year 2020..developed country?

Really...a sad story. Worrying Trends, isn't it??

Ringgit sliding further and further under this current government.

Recently, I interviewed some fresh graduates applying for jobs with my engineering company.
I accepted two applicants on a starting salary of RM1,600. It struck me as odd that 15 years
ago, I myself started work as a fresh graduate engineer for the same pay.

Indeed, if you compare the salaries of graduates now and 15 or even 20 years ago, you'll find
little difference but that their purchasing power is vastly different. It's the same story when you
compare salaries of shop assistants, office staff, factory workers and others.

To compound the effect of inflation, the ringgit has depreciated greatly against all major currencies.
The real income of most Malaysians has moved backwards.

This is why many Malaysians suffer under the petrol hike. The root of the problem is that our real incomes have shrunk in the face of inflation and depreciated currency.. Malaysians have not been spoiled by subsidy but are unable to move out of the time lock of stagnated and depreciated incomes.

If you compare the per capita incomes of Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea, they are a few multiples of ours although at independence all these countries were the on the same economic level as Malaysia. We we grouped with them and were called Asia little Tigers. Today all of them have progressed and become 1st World (OECD) except us. We are now compared with second tiered Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam who also seem to have overtaken us...!

What has gone wrong? We were the rising star of East Asia, a country rich in natural resources with the most promising potential.

The reason is massive corruption, plundering of resources, wastage of funds for huge non-economic projects, anti-public interest deals with politically-linked companies (cronies)and passing-of-the-buck to the man in the street..For example, Hong Kong and Singapore eradicated massive corruption in the 80s-90s with their ICAC and promoted transparency and meritocracy with wolrd standard education to uplift their economies. They now have universities ranked in the World's Top 50 (none in the 80-90s except University Malaya ).

Four decades of NEP where education, economic and employment policies are defined by race ensured that meritocracy took a back seat.

Our university standard has declined and today the best and brightest of our youths emigrate to escape the racial inequility only to contribute to the economies of foreign lands.

The reputation of our judiciary which was held in high esteem worldwide has sunk so low that foreign investors now insist on arbitration in Singapore in case of any dispute.

We also have a slew of oppressive laws such as the ISA, OSA, Uuca and PPPA which stifle free speech and are designed to keep the ruling parties in power.

We have become less attractive to foreign investors and now lag behind our neighbours in Asean for foreign direct investment. Even some corporations who have established themselves here are moving out.

All the economic and social malaise cannot help but affect the value of our currency. The strength of a country's currency is after all, a reflection of its fundamentals.

Furthermore, Bank Negara has a policy of weak ringgit to help exporters, never mind the burden on the common folk. The government is pro-corporation, not pro-rakyat.

While the poor and middle-class are squeezed, an elite group gets breathtakingly rich. We have the distinction of having the worse income disparity in Asean. A re-distribution of wealth is under way from the poor and middle-class to a select group of politically-connected elite.

The end result of this re-distribution will be a small group of super-rich while the majority are pushed into poverty and the middle-class shrinks. This is what happens when the rich gets richer and the poor get poorer.

There is much that is wrong with Malaysia . The responsibility for pulling the country backwards can be laid squarely at the door of the ruling regime. Another 10 years and we'll be touching the African standard. What a way to greet 2020!!!!

Is there any hope for Malaysia?

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MARRY A RICH GUY ? -Ms Pretty

A young and pretty lady posted this on a popular forum in New York:-

"I am going to be honest of what i am going to say here. I am 25 this year. I am very pretty, have style and good taste. I wish to marry a rich guy with $500,000.00 annual salary or above. You might say i am greedy but an annual salary of $1 million is considered only as a middle class in New York. My requirement is not high. ... See More

Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of $500K annual salary? Are you all married? I wanted to ask: what should i do to marry rich persons like you? Among those i have dated, the richest is $250K annual income and this is my upper limit. This is not going to be enough if you live in posh area of New York.

I am here humbly to ask a few questions:

1. Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)

2. Which age group should i target?

3. Why most wives of the riches are only average looking? I have met girls who don't have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys.

4. How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend? (my target now is to get married).

Thank you.
Ms Pretty

A CEO of an investment bank replies Ms Pretty's posting:

"Dear Ms Pretty,

I have read your post with great interest. Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me to analyse your situation as a professional investor.

My annual income is more than $500K, which meets your requirement, so i hope everyone believes that i am not wasting my time here. From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you.

The answer is very simple, so let me explain. Put the details aside, what you are trying to do is an exchange of 'beauty' and 'money'. You provide 'beauty' and i pay (money) for it, fair and square.

However, there is a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can't be prettier year after year. Hence from the viewpoint of economics, i am an appreciation asset and you are depreciation asset. It is not just a normal depreciation, but an exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worse 10 years later.

By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is also a 'trading position'. If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for a long term - same goes with the marriage you wanted. It might be cruel to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will be sold or 'leased'.

Anyone with over $500K annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will not marry you.

I would advise that you forget looking for any clues to marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a rich person with $500K annual income. This has better chance than finding a rich fool.

Hope this reply helps. If you are interested in 'leasing' services, do contact me.

Best Wishes,
CEO Investment Bank."

Singapore’s Sunday Times bestseller

WHEN she was 18, her boyfriend slept with her friend, and then her sister.

Yet she forgave him.

He then made her pregnant – twice.

She miscarried the first child and aborted the second.
But rather than hide these unpleasant details of her past, Ms Kasandra Kong, now 22, is sharing it with the world – in a book complete with her photograph in every chapter.

She hopes other women can learn from her mistakes and realise that they have a choice in how they shape their lives.

“They should be cautious,” she said. “They should pick the right kind of guy they are looking for in their lives.”

she alleged in her book, her boyfriend had sex with her sister, three years younger than her.

Ms Kong wrote in the book: “The sister I trusted... The man I loved deeply and believed in... Just picturing them together was a million stabs into my heart.”

She rushed home and swallowed 20 Panadols.

Fortunately, her sister and a colleague arrived in time to take her to the hospital.

Still, she pretended nothing happened, and even moved in with the man.

Tears of joy

She discovered she was pregnant two months later, and cried tears of joy.

When she told him, he was silent.

Singapore’s Sunday Times bestseller has sold about 6,000 copies so far..

There will be two price strucutures for petrol from May 1

There will be two price strucutures for petrol from May 1 - one for Malaysians and another for foreigners - Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said on Thursday.

For Malaysians, the price of petrol will also be based on engine capacity, which means that not all would be entitled to subsidised fuel, he added.

“Not all Malaysians will get the fuel subsidy, which should by right be given to those earning less,” he said.

Ismail said those eligible for the fuel subsidy would be able to buy fuel based on the current prices while those who are not eligible for it, will have to pay the market price.

“For RON95 petrol, the Goverment’s subsidy is 30sen per litre now. The current price of RON95 petrol is RM1.80 compared to the actual price, which is RM2.10.

“So, Malaysians who are not eligible for the subsidy and also non-citizens will have to pay RM2.10 or more,” he added.

Ismail said further details on the new fuel price mechanism would be announced on May 1.
