Jika dilihat dari segi klinik dan Kerajaan Kemudahan kesihatan sebagai contoh, Klinik Kesihatan Telupid mencatat bilangan pesakit yang lebih ramai berbanding dengan Hospital Daerah Beluran dan Hospital Tongod dalam daerah Kuamut. Namun Klinik Kesihatan Telupid tidak dapat dinaik taraf ke status hospital kerana ianya terletak dalam sebuah daerah kecil. Tambahan pula daerah Beluran telah memiliki sebuah hospital yang terletak di Pekan Beluran
Penaik tarafan Telupid sebagai sebuah daerah penuh akan merangsang pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah tersebut, sekali gus akan mempercepatkan pertumbuhan pembangunan kawasan parlimen Beluran
Menteri Pembagunan Luar Bandar Sabah , Datuk Ewon Ebin Menyokong penuh Telupid dinaiktaraf sebagai Daerah penuh , Selaras dengan Hasrat kerajaan Rakyat didahulukan , Pencapaian Diutamakan .

Ranau: The status of Telupid as a sub-district must be reviewed to enable it achieves district status. Rural Development Minister Datuk Dr Ewon Ebin said the request by the people in Telupid to upgrade it to full district has been made since 15 years ago.
However, the study at that time showed there are criteria that has yet to be fulfilled. He said Telupid has grown in terms of physical, number of population and infrastructure.
He expressed full support to Telupid's application.
"But I must bring the matter to be discussed at government's level and hopefully it would become a reality when the study has been completed," he said at Upko joined convention at Entilibon, Tongod.
Earlier Upko Beluran chief, OKK Jair Munty delivered the proposal. On other developments, Ewon, who is also party vice president, urged party members to change their mindset in order to be able to face the challenges ahead.
He said they must move forward and be more positive. He also reminded them to be initiative to eradicate poverty among Upko members.
