Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has criticized India saying that it has "made the mistake of being too democratic" and compared it unfavourably with China's authoritarian regime.He blamed the West for making democracy and freedom the cornerstone of progress.


1) CHINA has a seat in UN Security Council, INDIA does NOT!
2) CHINA just host 2008 Olympic Games, INDIA still NOT YET CAPABLE!
3) CHINA communism, more time too develop the county, INDIA too democratic, wasting time on arguing each other!
4) CHINA close tie with Pakistan.. Pakistan GDP percapita more greater than INDIA
5) CHINA has successfully developed and tested anti-satellite missiles, INDIA is behind
6) CHINA is ahead of space programme, INDIA still arguing on democracy
7) CHINA is leading in Economy, INDIA is very slow
8) CHINA already has Formula One (F1) racetrack in Shanghai, INDIA is just about to build one
9) Whole world are willing to learn and speak in Mandarin Chinese, Indian not so much


somehow Dr. M speak the truth, Malaysia had improved as a country under Dr. M for a reason. Some might call him dictator when he was still our PM but we hav less political argument and more development during his time..
We want more democracy but we are mourning bout current political environment

Democracy can be a hindrance to progress because you spend so much time politicking that you don't have time to develop your country.

"In China, there's not much politics. So, they can spend more time developing their country.
